“I feel the best photos and the most truth that can be captured comes from photographing couples in their homes”, says Jamie of Studio 13 Designs (the photographer behind this week’s shoot).
And nothing could be further from the truth about this very intimate, very honest and very natural photo shoot. Chloë (“the beauty with long hair”) and Emily (“the dapper stud with short hair”) opened up their home, along with their hearts, to share their love story with us.
The girls have been together since November 2014 and, get this, were married exactly 2 months later! “We both felt since meeting, that this was a second chance to reconnect from a past life.” Amazing!!
“We met while Chloë was bar-tending at the Lexington Club, which was the only lesbian bar in San Francisco. Emily would go there every Monday after work, while she was the manager of Hot Cookie in the Castro District. And as they say, the rest is history.”
“The shoot took place at our apartment and then we went to Lake Merritt after. We loved the locations because they are places that we experience together on a daily basis. We felt comfortable because they are both familiar locations to us.
Our favorite part of the shoot was the series that we did in our bedroom because it was very intimate. Our photographer made us feel extremely comfortable, and depicted us in a very genuine light.” Truth!
Chloë and Emily’s portrait session captured a truly sincere and strong bond shared through the greatest emotion in the human existance. Love.
Thank you Studio 13 Designs for the stunning images of these two fine humans xxx.
