Same-sex wedding styled shoot – Prospect House at Dripping Springs, Austin, Texas
“Nothing in this shoot is unachievable for the average couple. The carnations even look classy AF.”
I’m going to go out there and call fucking awesome on today’s wedding styled shoot. Why? Because it’s classy and dreamy as fuck!!
“Not all brides need an overwhelming Pinterest wedding. Some just want it to be about friends with a hint of pretty and simplicity.”
Planning + Styling
The team describe their theme as dreamy and glittery with hints of metallics. “The styled shoot is for the unique classy brides, with a twist. We aimed for metallic minimalist with unique DIY touches. Nothing in this shoot is unachievable for the average couple. The carnations even look classy AF. We also aimed for the bride who wanted some pizzaz on their wedding day, but done simply.”
Attire + Models
“We wanted to show a unique way to show the options a couple has to what they could wear on the wedding day.”
“The models were “all random girls that the make-up artist knew.” Ha ha, awesome.
“We wanted a minimalistic style, to show more of the models rather than the surroundings.”
Catering + Cake
“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” And get a look at this wedding feast (and cake) created by some very talented vendors OH YEAH!
After a disheartening bail by their original male-model, they decided to turn their shoot into this gorgeous and dreamy styled shoot where “most of the vendors were entirely on board.”
“When I was planning this styled shoot my suggestions of making it LGBT were slightly ignored. See, I’m in Texas and this industry here is split between ‘tolerant and awesome’ and ‘dickishly douchy’ We even had a vendor pull out of this styled shoot when the groom model didn’t show up and I made it a lesbian styled shoot. Whatever, their loss.”
“Keep in mind that Pinterest-type weddings are EXPENSIVE. It’s impossible to make a $15k wedding look like a $75k wedding, so walk in with realistic expectations.”
