We here at F* Yeah, we love getting submissions from couples that understand the importance of what a wedding is truly about.
Because all you need is love, right?
OK, enough with the Beatles references, Stacy and Nikki where married in Toronto Canada. Stacy wore a white dress, with a touch of purple in her bridal fascinator to match her shoes and bouquet…while Nikki, suited up in true dapper style.
Now close your eyes if you will (well not really because you need to keep reading) and imagine this…
You’re in the country side, surrounded by wild life, the chirping of the birds and the rusting of leaves as the wind softly blows through the trees – this was the setting for Stacy and Nikki’s outdoor ceremony at The Glenerin Inn and Spa. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Nikki was walked down the aisle by her mother and their Boston terrier, Louie. And Stacy was lead down the aisle by her 9 year-old son, Shane. Nawwwwww!
Their reception was filled with great food, DIY centrepieces and even a candy bar.
Thanks to Paul Krol Photography, Paul and his second shooter Mike, captured the feeling of the day with Stacy, Nikki and their guests’ personalities.
A blast was had by all on the dance floor that included a fully choreographed dance lesson to Michael Jackson’s Beat it. BOOM!
Our tip to other couples would be to make sure you add your own personal touches on your special day. Yes it is a day that two families become one and it is a day to celebrate with friends and other loved ones but remember the day belongs to you and no one else.
Planning a wedding and paying for everything yourself is completely stressful. We lived on Kraft dinner and water for a year. Not everything was perfect and there were things that were forgotten. But seeing everything come together and knowing that you threw a great party that people still talk about is confirmation that we did a great job.
