F* Yeah Gay Weddings turns 1, yay!!

Uncategorized / July 22, 2015

Everyone pause for a moment and bounce around from this awesome announcement…

What a mother-flippin’ year it has been! Over the past 12 months we’ve received a shit load of support from our readers and followers via our Socials, emails and blog comments.

As I dedicate this ‘thank you’ article to each and everyone one of you, I’d also like to reflect on how grateful and lucky I have been to be part of this movement towards equality. I can only hope that the rest of the nations’ marriage laws change in my lifetime. And if not, let this be the beginning of the wave of change that is well overdue on this path of equality.

Firstly, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank ALL of our vendors and couples who have been featured on my blog over the past year! Without your images and words my website would not be what it is today. There are many, many of you to thank but you know who you are! I’d like to take another opportunity to share with you guys the top 4 articles that you showed the most love on the socials and via comments on the blog.

Coming in at…

No. 4: Tracey + Tracy’s Mountain Farmhouse Wedding

“Ultimately since we didn’t need a justice of the peace (gay marriage was not yet legal) we settled on our wedding party as group officiant, and this ended up defining the nature of our ceremony.”

With over 1800 Facebook followers, almost 3000 Instagram followers (plus more over on the other Socials), I could not be more tickled pink to have been a part of the LGBTIQ+ community!

This coming year will bring many changes to F* Yeah Gay Weddings so keep your eyes peeled. I’m totally beaming with pride in the most awesomest way possible and I have all of you to thank.

Finally, I’d like to send all of my readers and followers all over this wonderfully weird world of ours a big-ass thank you… in some of the many languages I am familiar with:
gracias, shukran, Շնորհակալություն, gràcies, M̀h’gōi, hvala, tak, merci, danke, ευχαριστώ, mahalo, .תודה, grazie, arigatô, Баярлалаа, dziękuję, 고맙습니다, obrigado, diolch, ngiyabonga!

F yeah!

Comment below if you can guess all the above 20 languages… without Google’s aid of course!

Fun facts: I'm a "loud" little Latin gurl. I heart my label maker as much as I do my partner. I also like red things, leg-day and red velvet everything. My daily vocab includes "have you eaten?", "I love you" and "I farted"... not all at once or in that order. If I'm not talking to you about feelings I'd be helping you organise something.
