Today F* Yeah brings you a rustic French styled shoot with a Scottish twist. This fusion of provincial meets isle of plaid was inspired by a quaint 16th Century Castle, Château de Saint Martory.
Château de Saint Martory Castle, located in the South-West region of France, is nestled amongst 100 acres of rolling hills and boasts 7 guest rooms over 4 levels. Construction for this Renaissance architectually-designed building began in 1515, with construction concluding some 10 years later. And what a perfect location it is/was for this “organic green” Highland Château styled shoot.
This rustic yet rich wedding inspirational styled shoot was the brainchild of a wedding planner named Dominique (of Dominique Garay Organisation) and a photographer named Elena (of Elena Joland Photography). “We wanted to show a luxury atmosphere but also a simple, DIY, and authentic reception in respect of nature.”
“The colors and flower choices are purple, blue, and green; for freshness and to scent and lighten.”
An inspirational shoot is not complete without a feast! In this case a buffet of sumptuous cheeses, bread, and regional French wine complimented the “vintage furniture, accessories, and stationary”.
Their models, and real-life couple named Franck and Nicolas, added a “modern and fashionable but also very romantic” feel to the shoot – dressed in custom-made suits and Kilt.
Dominique and Elena wanted to incorporate their models’ personal flair into the shoot, queue the pièce de résistance… floral beards. “A famous barber, David from Stachecorner, came especially to style their fabulous beards and added a little bit of poetry with flowers and greenery. It looked fresh and gives a touch of Romanism to their style.”
If the wedding inspiration that you seek is simple and rustic grandeur, today’s Highland Château styled shoot will give it the royal treatment.
